I was amazed when I did water tests at home to make sure the pants are really waterproof and not just "waterproof". 100% satisfied. In fact, I don't understand why someone who buys something waterproof doesn't test it at home when they receive the product instead of wearing it and waiting to test it before a real-life situation when they actually need it. . These are great lightweight hiking pants. I love the zip pockets. Two in the normal place, one at the back and two thinner ones, one on each outer thigh. everything is lightning. Also, I like that regular bags have a half zipper because it helps keep things in there and if the zipper opens all the way there's a chance your stuff will fall out. The only reason I'm giving the pants 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the fit. but my complaint is probably more of a personal preference. When hiking, I personally prefer a more figure-hugging fit. I don't like having extra material hanging far from my body because it can get caught on bushes, rocks, etc. Therefore, the most difficult decision when purchasing these pants was determining the size I needed. It was difficult to go through the existing reviews as some said they fit perfectly, some said they were too small, others said they were too big/long. I decided to split the solution down the middle and go with the middle one (I'm usually 32" and 30" for pants. I could be 32" too, but I just don't like a lot of pleats Material I like it when the hem comes down to the foot end so I ordered a medium size and the waist fitted well it was included.However the length was too long for my liking.I had to hem the pants about 2-3 inches to adjust to be comfortable.I also chose to taper them from the knee down to give them a slimmer/thinner look and feel.With these changes the pants are GREAT!Love them!
