MUCH better than the factory radio!

I installed this stereo in my 2015 Jeep Wrangler JK two days ago and it works fantastic. I used "Metra Radio Data Interface with SWC for Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep 2004-up" to connect this unit and my Jeep's radio ports. I also used a "Metra 95-6511 Chrysler/Jeep DDIN 2007 Dash Kit" for the brackets and a "Metra Gm/euro Antenna Adapter" to get the antenna working. I didn't have to buy a wire harness as it comes with the interface. The interface allows full use of the controls on the steering wheel, and this block allows you to customize the assignment of each button. For those of you with audio issues: I initially had no audio and couldn't figure it out for hours. Finally in the manual I saw that the little blue wire in the RCA harness is used to power up the amp. After I plugged it in, it worked great! Pros: - The sound quality is the same or even better than my factory radio. - In App Store I can download Revain Music, Facebook Messenger Lite, Chrome Browser etc. - 2 USB inputs. (I haven't tried them yet) - Lots of customization options; You have control over many operating system settings. You can remap the buttons on the steering wheel AND the buttons on the device itself to basically do whatever you want (choose from Corehan's pre-made list). Block doesn't stop. Sometimes it slows down when I have a lot of apps open, but even then it's serviceable. - Works with Google Maps - Bluetooth has no latency unlike my factory radio. The device starts and my phone connects immediately. Cons: - minus 1 star: the screen has been scratched out of the box (see photo) but luckily they are not visible when the radio screen is on. - There is no way to uninstall their music app. The home screen has a clock widget and a music player widget. You cannot move/delete them and you cannot set a different homepage as the default home screen. Every time I want to access an app shortcut or widget, I have to swipe the screen (or use the All Apps button). A little annoying, but not disturbing. Coincidentally, the Next Song button on my steering wheel doesn't work with Bluetooth, but the previous one does. Maybe I just need to take more time to figure it out.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Upgradeable
