Review on 💧 SEAFLO 42-Series Variable Flow Water Pressure Diaphragm Pump - 12V, 3.0GPM, 55PSI by Dre Bhatt

We bought our rig in October 2019 and it came with a regular Shurflo 4008-101-A65, we've had a trailer for about 7 months. We rarely use the fresh water tank and are always connected to the city water supply, two weeks ago we heard the water running and when we went outside to check. Water leaked from the fill valve on the fresh water tank. We were connected to the city water supply, nothing should get into the fresh water tank. It was determined that the control valve in the current pump had failed and we got some suggestions from the dealer to try resetting it until we could get it to them for inspection. Nothing fixed it and the water flowed into the fresh water tank like we were plugged into the fresh water tank inlet. We had a water regulator on the hose and the pressure at the source was below the recommended pressure for the water pump. And of course, whenever the built-in filter was replaced, the recommended periodic maintenance to keep the water lines clean was carried out. After some searching and research we found this to be a common problem with Shurflo water pumps. We were definitely not impressed that the water pump failed 7 months after purchase. Now, after discussions with friends and the dealer, a SEAFLO 42 Series Faster Cycle Variable Flow Diaphragm Water Pump - 12V, 3.0GP - has been suggested as a great replacement option. Installation was quick and easy, the plumbing fittings matched perfectly. with an old pump, so there is no need to install new lines or run pipes. The cable connections were easy to swap out and we were up and running again in 30 minutes. I can't believe how quiet this pump is, we can barely hear it running, the water flow from the pump is the same if not better than the old pump. Durability is something that needs to be determined, having had this pump for a while. .
