Inaccurate specifications

This is not suitable for under 1/2” thickness. It says good for 1/4”. Had to fab up something to make it work in my boat. They need to update the specifications.

Cons

The latch mechanism could be prone to malfunction, leaving the door or hatch susceptible to accidental opening

Latches looked good when they arrived. When installing however, the first screw I put in galled and almost didn’t come our. In looking into wh y it happened I found that the screw holes were not tapped to the bottom making the screws 1/4” to long to be installed. Not sure weather to finish tapping them myself, go buy shorter 4mm x.70 screws or send them back...........will have to let you know.
