I just bought a new house and the hardwood floors needed a thorough cleaning. I've used the Swiffer wet blaster and didn't get the results I wanted. I couldn't believe the difference between using this and a wet blast. The floor was noticeably shiny, it cut off all the wax on the floor and the floor looked almost new in a few places near the back door where it had a layer of dirt and grime. I haven't tried it on carpet as I already have a carpet cleaner but I can say it has strong suction. He picked up small styrofoam pellets from a wooden floor with no problem. It was also able to absorb all of the sugar that was spilled while making coffee. I think the asking price is fair, especially with the coupon they are offering for this item right now. It's much more than just a mop or vacuum for the price of a traditional vacuum. I definitely recommend it.
