Review on Dimok Running Belt Waist Pack by Cody Hunt

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great design but needs buoyancy

UPDATED: I've upgraded my rating to four stars because Dimok's customer service has been excellent. Within hours of my initial check, they contacted me and offered a replacement pouch which was shipped promptly. As I mentioned in my original review, I love many of the features in this pack and was happy to give it a second try. I have been assured that the manufacturing defect has been rectified. Unfortunately, the exchange was equally unsuccessful. Watching this, this time I was able to catch it before the zipper came loose and do a home renovation by repairing and reinforcing where the zipper meets the strap. If you're comfortable with needle and thread, I recommend this as a preventive measure. (Eventually I might even beef it up with grommets to make it more secure.) Other than that, it's a great package and I really hope it can be redesigned to prevent this kind of bug in future iterations occurs. I don't use it every day because I'm worried about this vulnerability, but I reach for it on rainy days to keep my phone handy and dry. higher quality standards. After just two weeks of light trail wear, one of the main seams came loose. The right side of the belt will now move away from the pocket, releasing the zipper (see photo). I really like the design - the storage space is well thought out and I can easily store my key fob, ID card and iPhone 7+. Unlike other backpacks, the belt strap is stretchy and flexible so it doesn't dig in and fits well with my slim build. The open stitch looks like a temporary stitch - the thread doesn't even match the rest of the thread on the pack (the thread is blue and the rest of the stitch is black - (e.g. basting thread)). Big disappointment!
