It's a very bright piece of plastic, but still just plastic

Let me briefly summarize the pros and cons of this flashlight before I give my personal opinion; Pros: - This light is very bright, enough to overwhelm yourself if you're not careful, but there's a dimming mode that's a little more comfortable to use if it's too bright. This light has multiple modes, more than I actually expected. bright, dim, UV, SOS strobe, then the side light has a nice bright and dim light, followed by a red light and a randomly flashing strobe between red and white. very nice - the 18650 batteries used are a nice touch because they charge quickly - on the same note the fact that it has a USB port makes charging easier and the small dust cover gives it a slim profile. Cons: - Battery life was very short, in fact I used it for work, both flashlights together didn't last me until lunch, total battery life of both was 4 hours if I was lucky. - Actually, it wasn't a zoom function. Not helpful at all, focus was good but honestly it just made a slightly brighter square wherever I pointed. If it was even a little diffused this shape would end up with a less sharp frame and a brighter circle - the UV light isn't bright at all, I used the second flashlight's UV bulb to charge my line, and it probably took me 20 minutes to get a good charge, compared to normal black light it was enough to get it done in about 10 seconds Togo. I understand it's just a flashlight, but come on, it was very dim, it was barely ultraviolet light. While its dust cover gives it a nice profile, it doesn't stay in, it falls out every few minutes of use. - the magnet on the back is not strong enough, I work in production. Workshop, our tables are made entirely of solid welded steel and the magnets stick to bare metal about 50% of the time. - last and most importantly, durability, oh my god these things are weak. Dropped for the first time after a few months of use. dead, it just won't turn on anymore, new batteries, dead, opened to see if anything is loose, not that I could tell without prying it open, dead. Very poorly done on that point, the magnets, them are basically fridge magnets for a flashlight that don't stick and battery life. I want something I can use throughout my shift. Other than that, these are great little flashlights, plain and simple. not for more than indoor use or glove box storage.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Long delivery time
