I had a knee swell up badly two weeks before we were booked on an Alaskan cruise. Our chiro assured me it would be fine by the time of the cruise, but suggested a patella support strap. I ordered this and the brand recommended by the chiro. I found that brand felt good, but it had a bulky silicone cylinder in front so only worked with shorts, and the velcro strap tended to curl back at the tip, making it easy to snag things (or each other, if wearing on both knees) and pull off. The Crosstrap, however, fastened securely at both ends, never peeling back. It felt at least as supportive as the other brand. And it wasn't bulky, worked fine under leggings and capris. I walked 15,000 steps per day on port days on the cruise, and felt fine, thanks to the Crosstrap.The Crosstrap will be my ongoing support! The others are getting returned!
