I know some people think it's just a jumping multimeter but it has some features that will make troubleshooting a lot easier for you . It can apply power or ground on command, allowing you to ground the circuit or apply power to the circuit to check for problems. This feature alone costs money. This will also tell you the voltage of the circuit you are testing compared to the voltage of the car battery. Very handy when looking for bad cable connections. I highly recommend it. UPDATE - I have had this unit for about 6 months now and it has stopped working. The functions appear to be working judging by the beeps, but the LCD screen is completely blank. I emailed the seller on their website to fix the issue as it is still under warranty. I'll let you know how the transaction goes. I still recommend the device, it's very comfortable, I just expected it to last more than 6 months.
