Place these steps on two small flights of stairs in our garage. Pros: The mats are nice and thick, look great, have a good grip, should offer a firm grip even when wet. Cons: Quality control is a bit off. Rugs intended to be 36 inches ranged from 35 and 3/4 to 36 and 1/4. Measure each one before installation and trim them accordingly to make them look more uniform. Also, three of the six mats had the leading edge torn or torn, but the damage wasn't very noticeable when all bonded. Installed these three on a side ladder that we rarely use. The instructions and website were oddly unhelpful when it came to choosing adhesive, only recommending double sided tape. We used Dap Weldwood contact cement, which worked very well, but required a little over a 32-ounce can since our ladders were newly built. The bare wood soaked up the cement and required 2 coats.
