Like many others, I was in search of a good cup of coffee. While K-Cups were quick and easy, they just didn't taste good. For a while I went to a French Press, which actually makes a good cup of coffee. On weekday mornings, this can be quite a daunting process. Then another coffee lover at work said he went old school and bought a coffee maker. Crazy, I thought, but found myself on Revane looking for them. I found this little percolator pot and decided to give it a try. There have been some dissatisfied with this product, but I have yet to see a product that doesn't have skeptics. One of my top picks for kitchen appliances. I love this little pot. It makes 5 cups in just 4 minutes. I usually put everything together in the evenings, which only takes a minute or two, and then just pop it in when I stumble into the kitchen in search of coffee. It makes a great cup of coffee and is easy to clean, just rinse everything and start over. I don't use any extra paper filters or anything like that, just a good old stainless steel basket. Some things others may not like, but that doesn't bother me at all. There is no on/off button. Plug in to turn on and pull out to turn off. Honestly, I'm not sure if there's an auto shutoff, but I just turn it off when I'm done. Also, there's no indicator light to let you know the oozing has finished, just keeping the coffee warm. When it stops gurgling and becomes quiet, the coffee is simply ready. I haven't had any issues with the base unit like others, I use it every day and it works every day. I like that it's all stainless steel, there are no plastic parts next to the coffee. Update 2/11/18 Still a great coffee pot. I had no problems with this device and it just keeps working. I added a Smart Life Plug that syncs with my Google Home. Now I just talk without getting up. OK Google. TURN ON THE COFFEE. 4 minutes later. The coffee is ready. I love it. as on the way to the door, ok google turn off the coffee. I still use just the stainless steel filter with no additional filter with no issues. Rinse and refill and good. Just sent a link for this to a friend who has now gone through another Keurig type machine that just stopped working. She goes over it and transforms.
