In my time with the iSweep, I've found that it transitions easily from rug to rug and back again. I've seen him run over my cables in the floor (I think I had to move them) but he never hung himself from the cables. He has the ability to detach himself from the cords and continue on his way. Since I have a cat, I have to constantly sweep to keep the fur under control. But with that I leave it on at least once a day to reduce the dust and fur on my floors. That was great. The noise level of the robot is about the same as that of a floor fan running at low speed. It's really quiet and doesn't bother you. There are so many great features in iSweep that I probably didn't mention. But most importantly, I haven't found anything that could be a problem. So I definitely recommend it to make your life much easier.
