Review on Panasonic HC-V770 Video Camera Black by Aneta Mazur ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything in the purchase suits, a very necessary product.

This is my first camcorder, so I can only compare it with shooting video on a digital camera or tablet: without naming brands, I will say that a real camcorder wins both without tension. Digital cameras usually have a small battery, which is barely enough for half an hour of video shooting; tablets are usually equipped with some kind of microscopic optics (or obscenely expensive). But, going on a trip, I will still take all three gadgets :)

Pros
  • Beast machine! I have long wanted to buy something like this, but cheaper cameras were frightened by reviews and the absence of some options I needed, and more expensive ones are more expensive. FullHD writes easily at 50 (or 60) fps. You can make pure HDMI for streaming. Time lapse shooting mode! I don’t know why I need it, but it’s still cool to have such an opportunity (maybe it will come in handy). It is very convenient to manage using WiFi if you have a suitable tablet or phone.
Cons
  • Modest set. 1) For example, there is no lens protection - except for movable shutters that close when the power is turned off, the lenses are not protected by anything. I bought a cap, but there is nothing suitable on the camera to tie it on. 2) The camera can "in itself" charge the installed battery, but it would be logical to have a suitable charger in the kit - it is not there, you need to buy it separately. Autofocus is quite slow. Uncomfortable strap (or is my hand too large?) It seems that the weight distribution is bad - the threaded hole for the tripod is located so that the camera is not balanced. If the tripod does not hold too firmly, then the "priest" of the camera gradually outweighs. If you install a protective filter / glass, then when the backlight is turned on, it shines more back into the lens than out (due to reflection). It would be logical to place the lamp not inside the lens barrel, but above it . but this is solved by external illumination. Plus, filters are usually needed when built-in lighting is not needed, and vice versa.
