(legal in Canada) I'm about to enter a floral cycle with my herb babies and I have an Afloia dehumidifier/purifier that needed a little extra help to reduce humidity, found 2+1 combo here and figured out sooooo nice little things. I read a bit about how silica gel helps and found it worth trying. It's been good so far, it definitely helps keep the humidity down. Don't expect something insanely magical like going from 75 to 50 or so, you'll drop a few percent (depending on many factors). With the 2+1 combo I have both dehumidifiers in my grow tent, I have to heat them up every few days but they do the job.
