Rest assured, your toaster only contains your toast
I bought this lid on purpose because it covers the whole toaster, not just the top. The cover is durable and attractive. Since this lid doesn't seem to be available for the 2-slice toaster I have, I bought a 4-slice toaster lid and it seems to fit my toaster. I'm happy with the purchase knowing that nothing but bread ends up in my toaster. This can be frustrating if you use your toaster on a daily basis constantly unplugging and compressing your device, but I don't use my toaster that often so this isn't an issue for me.
