Review on 🔧 Enhanced Uvex Bionic Adapter in Polycarbonate (S8505) by Alvaro Delic

I intend to use this as general face and head protection when using a wood lathe to turn a spindle. It's a bit lighter than I expected, which may or may not be a good thing. I suppose time will tell if it offers any real protection against flying splinters, but who wants to convince themselves that it doesn't? I made the mistake of buying the model with the helmet adapter thinking that the extra cost is the second headband that is included as the extra cost is meaningless if you are just swapping one headband for another. That is not right. It only came with a helmet adapter strap so I had no choice but to use it with a helmet which was quite a shame. I hoped I would have a choice if needed. "Then just send it back and order another one." Well, I'd better just take it and get back to work I guess.
