uncomfortable without a helmet

I'm sure it would work well with a hard hat, but I bought it to use as a reusable face shield in the hospital. Unfortunately, the frosted shield does not allow a view through and the headgear slips off easily without a helmet. I tried to pull the elastic band as tight as possible, but it turned out to be very uncomfortable. Will retrieve it and stick with one-way shields for now.

1 star because -1 star is not available

I received the package and one of the two grub screws that attaches the face shield to the helmet strap was broken. Also missing were two nuts for these pins (which are also used to connect the screen to the tubing). I had to improvise and repair it myself using parts from another suspension I had in order not to lose money entirely. Therefore, I strongly advise against buying this product, at least not from this seller. Apparently quality control is not one of his principles.

Lightweight, and make sure you know what you are buying

I intend to use this as general face and head protection when using a wood lathe to turn a spindle. It's a bit lighter than I expected, which may or may not be a good thing. I suppose time will tell if it offers any real protection against flying splinters, but who wants to convince themselves that it doesn't? I made the mistake of buying the model with the helmet adapter thinking that the extra cost is the second headband that is included as the extra cost is meaningless if you are just…
