I really like it. Very quiet. He's no more than ten feet from me in my living room and I can't hear him at all. It's in the closet so your experience might be different. I can't hear very well, but I can't even hear it up close. My only complaint is that removing the valves to clean the filter leaves water between the valve and where it screws onto the filter. When you unscrew the nut, water comes out with it. It's not much, but it's enough, so you should soak it up with a towel. It's annoying, but doesn't bother me. By the way, the pipe or hose has an inside diameter of 3/4 inch. It took time to figure it out. There was simply no information on the size of the pipes anywhere on the net!
