If you look at the picture of the tools you will see that there are several sets of the same tool. In fact, there are only 32 different extraction tools, but they are multiples. It doesn't matter if the tool is damaged. I have needed professional pin extraction kits for many years but not for the number of types this kit covers. Professional kits can be incredibly expensive, well out of the price range of those that offer a huge selection. Why I think this is a great set: I'm not going to buy a pro level set for everyone. Opportunities I may come across when I need to fix my plug. I also don't always know what kind of fork I'll come across. This at least gives me the ability to reconfigure or repair the fork without damaging the fork on the first try. It also gives me an idea of what I would need to use to disassemble the fork. They are definitely not intended for a professional and frequently used application. In my humble opinion their use is for the person who is extremely careful to use the right tool and use it with the right direction of force so as not to damage the tool. Unfortunately, this is not always possible as you may need to tilt the tool to apply force in a direction that not only compresses but also bends the metal of the tool. This is the place for a professional set that can withstand various possible stresses (which is possible thanks to thicker metal and alloys). The low price makes it a worthy addition to most power tool boxes.
