The 80's are calling and want their tapes back
The product works whether you want to work with tape or not. It's reasonably priced for this product, but do you really want to keep buying tapes when you can just remove the hard drive and start over? I sent this and the Panasonic camcorder back. Do yourself a favor and buy a DIGITAL video camera, it will save you money and give you more fun.
