Working and NO MICRO-BUBBLES in your tank

UPDATE: Only lasted about two months and is no longer working. Whenever I turned it off, it just wouldn't turn on. I tried cleaning it. I had to shake it, adjust the height, leave it, etc. etc., and it "is allowed" to start working; Well, in the end it didn't work at all. Too bad I liked it but it's slowly dying and stopped working. Finding a skimmer for a small general purpose aquarium is difficult. After almost giving up, I found that this Resun SK-300 was the answer for me. He started skimming on day one! And most important: NO MICROBUBBLES on the entire surface of my aquarium. A few weeks ago I bought a Coralife Nano Skimmer and threw it in the bin after a little over a week as it kept producing microbubbles no matter what I tried to adjust it but luckily this skimmer doesn't produce microbubbles outside of the skimmer. Also, this SK-300 is silent, only 3W, consumes almost no power! On the other hand there is an inaccuracy in the description of this item, the item description says it measures 1.9 inches front to back so I figured I had enough room as my 10 gallon Lifegard AIO tank is 2.25 inches front and rear. Rear built-in drip tray BUT dimensions apply to skimmers without hinged adjustable bracket. Luckily I was able to squeeze a sponge between the glass and the skimmer, attach it and get the height right. If you want to use an adjustable outboard mount in the rear AIO tray area, you will need about 2.5 inches to mount it. It was a good decision.

Pros
  • With suction cups
Cons
  • Requires socket
