Would probably be a great basket. Only the slot where the iron bar attaches to the bike is in the front (under the mesh cover) not the back. I also don't like that the main compartment doesn't have a mesh for my pup to see through and it doesn't have a top for her head to see through. It's only completely open at the top. I was afraid she would try to jump out. There is also another carrier where the side panels are soft and the bottom is fur for comfort. These sides are solid and there is no fur on the bottom. Such a shame because I like the size and look so much more when it's engineered right ie with the iron bar slot at the back where it should be.
