This thing is strong. It's well made, the shackle is really good and mine fits like a glove. I read that some people got one of these but it was warped and needed some sanding and trimming to work properly. Mine was perfect when packaged. It rattles a bit in my Curt receiver hitch, and I think if someone installed it and drove with the hitch to recover it would probably get annoying. But if that were the case, the piece of rubber would absorb most of the noise and not interfere with the intended target.
