A homeowner often needs a tall ladder. I have an 8ft stepladder, but sometimes it just doesn't do the trick for those hard-to-reach places under a high ceiling or near a roof. Now that the Christmas holidays are over I received this telescoping ladder just in time to take down the decorations and the lights hanging from the roof. Loved the idea of the retractable ladder which saves a lot of space when not in use and is very easy to transport from place to place in the house. However, be careful not to pinch your fingers when retracting. The new design, with red descending control buttons under each step and a one-button stow function, appears to be an upgrade from the previous version mentioned in other previous reviews. So far, so good.
