With portrait format shots, the ball head does not reach into the vertical. Poor technique

it was very close to vertical, but not quite 😫 When using the portrait direction of the ball head, it just doesn't reach vertical. This is a real problem as of course we spread the legs of the tripod so they are level and the only way to get a vertical portrait on a tripod is to fiddle with the legs. This will destroy the entire tip of the ball head. I took a close look at the ball head, it turned out that this was not a manufacturing defect at all, but rather a technical defect.
