That would be a good tripod if it held up. We used it around our house about 1 time a week so it hasn't been moved or used extensively and only used by adults. There are small pieces of plastic in the legs that broke in less than 6 months and now the legs can't slip out.

Very good tripod for the price. I think it does a lot and it has different modes that you can use like low angles and vertical shots that are really good with it. The only thing I complain about is the leg clips, they are very cheap plastic, I think if you are not careful with them they will break easily. But overall it's a really good tripod for the price.

I received excellent customer service from TX Photo. I bought this tripod a few months ago and somehow lost one of the adjustable legs. They didn't have any parts to replace it so they sent me another new tripod instead! Wow, I can't imagine many companies doing this. I will definitely deal with them again. First impressions were great. Well packed in a box and then shipped in a zippered carry bag. While I'll probably just clip it to my bag for everyday use, it offers quality padded protection when packed in a car etc. The build quality is high and the ball head feels particularly solid and well constructed. it was very close to vertical, but not quite 😫 When using the portrait direction of the ball head, it just doesn't reach vertical. This is a real problem as of course we spread the legs of the tripod so they are level and the only way to get a vertical portrait on a tripod is to fiddle with the legs. This will destroy the entire tip of the ball head. I took a close look at the ball head, it turned out that this was not a manufacturing defect at all, but rather a technical defect.

You can buy a well known expensive brand and argue the difference to justify the price and that's fine. However, we often tend to buy things just to show off. If you need a tripod for travel, this is your best choice. Need a tripod for your kid's concert but don't want to carry around that heavy "professional" tripod you use for events? Get this. I bought this tripod to replace a very similar one I lost on the river. While there are many options that are about the same, I chose this one because it has a shorter middle stem, allowing you to drop it lower without removing the stem and hanging the camera upside down.
