These are great lights. Getting them out of the box requires some patience; but no more than other lights. It took me 5-10 minutes to figure out how it works (white plastic clips indicate where the icicle falls). HOWEVER, the light sequence pattern resets every time we turn it off. The plug is on the outside and the switch is on the inside. There is a button on the connector that you press to cycle through the sequence settings. It is unbelievable that the setting cannot be saved after turning off and we have to exit every time to press the button. The "Default" setting is annoying because it loops through each pattern. They are already working, so when they come back it will be after the holidays.
