Installed four of these in my Synology NAS. Quiet, responsive, 0 hours in SMART mode, which is good. Smart Data reports it as Western Digital (HP) MB4000GCWDC, which is fine with me since it's the WD RE4 equivalent. Be sure to check the firmware on the discs upon receipt. HP is reporting issues with the firmware version I received due to drives becoming unresponsive, but this has been resolved in the latest June 2018 release. They are certainly much quieter than my previous Hitachi drives. Let's see how they hold up on my NAS over the long term.** The April 7, 2019 update is less than a year old and Synology has disabled it. One star off: Brand: Western Digital (MaxDigital) Model: MB4000GCWDCC Capacity: 3.6 TB Serial number: XXXXXXXX Firmware: HPGEBad Number of sectors: 376
