I was living in Turin, Italy for a few months last year and this stainless steel coffee maker came to me via Airbnb and made the perfect cup of coffee. Italy is known for its espresso and cappuccino and it didn't disappoint, but on days when I didn't want to stroll to the local coffee bar or wanted a 12-ounce cup of strong coffee to contemplate my morning, a kettle on the stovetop delivered. Even with the cheapest coffee grounds at Supermarcato which was 2 euros a bag it was delicious. I recently moved to a place where the only coffee maker is a Keurig machine. I've never used Keurig, but let me warn you. If you are a coffee lover, DO NOT buy Keurig. I've spent so much money on kpods through trial and error trying to find a brand that doesn't taste like cloudy water and drank 3-4 cups of a horrible brown liquid that doesn't deserve to be called coffee just to get my dose of caffeine and still end up at Starbucks in the afternoon with a headache. I finished in 2 weeks and started looking for a moka pot similar to the ones I used in Italy. Many of the stainless steel options at Revain didn't seem believable or what I was looking for. I knew exactly what I was looking for so it took some time and after looking through tons of reviews, articles and youtube I finally settled on THE LONDON DRIP. To my surprise... it was almost identical to the pan I used in Italy. The stainless steel was heavy and durable, fitted perfectly, came in a nice box with instructions - 100% quality. I couldn't even find one in shops in Italy, most only sold aluminum pots twice the price of this one. I use LAVAZZA Torino Rossa coffee in mine and a cup on this stove will make your day better. First prepare it as directed and keep an eye on it. It brews coffee in minutes! Unfortunately I got a call from work while it was brewing and the pot burned :( I'm trying to get rid of the burning smell but the coffee still comes out great. A few people I noticed complained about the metallic smell. Yes The underside does have a metallic smell to begin with, but that's because it's new, like anything new, it takes time to break in, and most importantly, I've in no way noticed that the smell has transferred to my coffee Second, I'd like to note that this is an espresso coffee maker, so 6 cups makes 6 ounces (1 cup) of strong, full-fat coffee, so if you want a large, 24-ounce venti-sized cup of coffee, this isn't for you either uploaded a picture of the two cups of coffee I made using the same LAVAZZA ground coffee, one in Keurig with a K-cup reusable/refillable on the LEFT, one in a coffee maker on the RIGHT look at the difference I'm so happy with This purchase Well done LONDON DRIP great job Ota!
