THIS pan is needed to make Detroit-style pizza!

As someone who was born in Detroit and lived in Motor City for 54.5 of my 55 years, I've eaten more than my share of Detroit-style pizza. Buddy's is without a doubt my favorite, with its crispy crust made even more special by the caramelized brick cheese that oozes between the crust and pan as the pizza bakes. Oh my god, this is so delicious! In fact, Buddy's pizza is so good I never dreamed of making it at home. I just didn't think it was possible. But I recently stumbled across an online Detroit-style pizza recipe that seemed perfectly legit to me. But the recipe called for a special Detroit-style pizza pan, and this was recommended to me by LloydPans. With my wife's blessing, I took a risk and ordered a pot. And yesterday I tried my first homemade Detroit pizza. Well I'm happy to report that it couldn't have been better. The pizza that came out of the oven looked, smelled and tasted as much like Buddy's as could be. The crust was absolutely perfect and to die for. The edges were quite crispy and I know a lot of the pan is to blame. The bottom crust was perfectly crispy too. (FYI, to make the pizza, I placed the pan on a preheated pizza stone in an oven preheated to 550 degrees.) And getting the pizza out of the pan was incredibly easy. All I had to do was loosen the edges with a metal spatula and the pizza slid right onto the cutting board! Seriously, I've made a lot of pizzas at home over the years, both on the grill and in the oven, but this one was the absolute BEST I've ever made. It was so good I'm considering ordering another pan to bake two pizzas at once. Trust me folks, if you want to make Detroit-style pizza at home, THIS pan is what you need. It's worth every penny and you'll be eternally grateful you bought it. Just look at the pictures of my pizza! And check out the video I posted about making pizza. You can hear the hissing of the edges!
