I doubted that this product would fit my wife's car headlights which were in pretty bad condition. In fact, I was prepared to pre-treat the lids with buffer pads and compound before applying. It was supposed to be a weekend project but my wife reminded me that I wanted to see the light covers in daylight. So I went out with paper towels and a kit of turtle wax to try it on the spot. FINAL RESULT - I ended up doing both headlight covers by hand and restored them to 95% in 20-30 minutes! blown away! I'll be beating them up again in about a week so they're 99% like new. The cost of the restoration services we received was about $80. New light covers, about $150 (each?). It was an amazing decision by a wonderful man and I made sure my wife is new too. ;-) Take it. For really bad pitting and discoloration you can do a pass with a damp cloth and mortar. Wipe clean and then use a dry cloth and mortar. I forgot what Turtle Wax recommends, but this worked for me. amazing things. Seriously surprised at the snot of mine by how well it worked.
