These are the plastic straws you need, not a plastic bug. First, many of the other straws we've recently purchased were exceptionally thin. This is what I consider normal, they don't bend or tear too easily. But. Not too hard. Let's face it, nobody likes wet paper straws. Plastic is better in your drink. Nobody wants to clean up and worry about losing metal straws. Nobody likes the feel of metal straws, so you need to buy reusable straws, keep track of them, and clean them. Don't worry it will be in the ocean in 500 years. I would be curious to hear from anyone who composts them to see what happens.
