Honest Review: Pampers Swaddlers vs. Overnights vs. Pure

review and I found it was because the diaper was crooked or under-tightened (trying to put a diaper on and a Dressing a squirming 9 month old is not easy!). But I still think they work really well. We tried all three Pampers night protection lines and rated them as follows: 1. Sleepovers (slightly better than normal diapers)2. diaper3. PureOur baby slept 12-12.5 hours a night and hasn't woken up for 8 weeks, but after about 5 months he started sleeping on his stomach and then the leakage problem became more regular. We tried to pick up diapers. Still not much help. We added a Sposie diaper to his large diaper. It helped most nights, there was still a leak. We'd send him downstairs too. Sometimes he slept on his side, and we also found leaking flaps that wouldn't close. Since we really like Pampers diapers, which are suitable for him during the day, we decided to try Overnights and Pure. We tried all three for comparison with the Sposie pillow. He doesn't poop at night so I can't confirm that he poops at night. Thoughts on NIGHTS: Yes, I agree with other reviewers that they are almost identical to the Swaddlers reg. However, when you open the packaging, they shrink and flatten out. I put all three aside for comparison and happened to find that the overnights ballooned a bit and then deflated after a while. They seemed thicker and softer, more airy. By now he was noticeably different from the diapered ones. You can't see the difference in the picture, but it just feels like they're picking up more footage than they did when they were taken out of the box. Thoughts on PURE: We've used these before during the day but didn't like how they fit. They walk more than diapers. There would be regular blowouts because it wouldn't seal well enough despite the thicker gasket. I thought this would be a clear winner because these nappies are thicker than regular nappies and absorb urine better, but they just don't fit at all and it will still leak down the inner thighs. I've found that a pad + size up (if your baby is within range of the next size up, otherwise day size is fine) + diaper positioning are key. Make sure the diaper and liner are high enough so that the liner does not protrude from under the diaper. For optimal protection, the tongues had to be pressed together at the same height and without wrinkles. The overnight line worked best for us and then Reg Swaddlers didn't fall far behind. Pure is not worth trying again.

  • practical thing
