Nice cheap sound card

This little piece of fluff is awesome! I was looking for a cheap solution to an expensive problem and this sound card is the answer. For small applications, like simply adding a 3.5mm mic and headphones to a laptop, it works well. That's what it was built for. But don't be discouraged if you think you can use it as a replacement for all your professional studio and live performance gear because you can't. I think you could, but you will be terribly disappointed. With this sound card you can NOT fill a gymnasium or concert hall with sound! Although I must confess that I have not tried it for this purpose. And the seller doesn't say it's possible. However, as a mini laptop powered interface, this sound card is handy, lightweight, portable and its small size can easily get lost in your gear bag. Keep a box with a clear window so you can keep up. It includes a microphone that requires very little power to operate, like cheap lavalier mics, as well as tiny condenser and dynamic mics. If, like me, you have a box full of old mics and lack the specs and documentation, test the mics. Some may work; others not. However, don't throw them away. You can collaborate with another site. I tried every mic in my box with this sound card until I found mics to use with it. Some have worked very well. Attention: My very expensive dynamic stage microphone, which I converted from XLR to 3.5mm, did not work with this small interface/sound card. But it was just a wish of mine.
