I wanted to use this to update the media setup in my small camper and was delighted with a decent sized portable TV with its own battery, VESA mounting options and good digital support Media via USB/SD card input. When it arrived it was obvious that I had received a used/returned unit. The box with the product has been opened, as has all the inner packaging, and the stand and bracket have already been assembled. The antenna and batteries for the remote control were missing. However, I decided to test it and see if the device works as I was planning to use a better antenna anyway, and I don't really care about two AAA batteries. This tuner is powerful. I pulled the small antenna out of my bedroom TV to try it out (the $20 antenna Revain seems to recommend with every TV purchase) and I was able to pick up channels I normally only get with my boosted rooftop antenna. TV in the living room. I was really impressed. The speakers were also really good for this type of device. But that's all that wasn't a huge disappointment with this device. First, picture quality. The viewing angles on this TV are terrible. Unless you're sitting right in front of him and the screen is perfectly perpendicular to your eye line, don't even try to look at him. A viewing angle of 165 degrees is specified on the manufacturer's website. Horizontally, I would estimate that it's actually about 45 degrees. Vertical probably half as much. It has the narrowest viewing angle of any screen. seen for years. And if you look at it up close, the picture is still very bad. It's very washed out with muted colors, poor color temperature and a terrible, too-contrasted, too-sharp look. I tried making changes to the user's picture profile and saw some improvement, but it still wasn't acceptable. Second, the built-in media player didn't play 95% of the files I tested on it from various sources. I check the manufacturer's website and manual to make sure they should be compatible but they still say " I didn't check the AV input, battery or DC as you've already decided to return it. TLDR: Very disappointing and I will be back. I may have received a defective unit as it was in use when I ordered a new one, but I still think it would be a disappointment even if I got what I actually paid for. Save money for something better.
