I like it. It's my first so I don't have a comparison, but I preferred it to the $10 cheaper one for a few reasons. #1 looks more professional, #2 has a large base so it fits in my larger cups, #3 has 2-function temperature control. The on/off/temperature change button is the only real complaint I have. It's right next to the burner, so with all that heat, it's a little awkward to hold down for a few seconds to turn it off. Plus, it keeps a cup at a warm temperature indefinitely on the hottest setting, and if you're like me and it takes so long to down a large cup that it gets icy warm, that's great. Given that the cup loses heat from the top and all around, how hot do you really expect it to stay if it's only heated from the bottom? It works great for what it is. If you're having trouble getting the right heat (mine keeps full, large mugs warm), make sure you use ceramic mugs. It distributes the heat more evenly. I will buy one for my uncle who likes to drink coffee from a ceramic mug in the morning.
