I like this back stretcher more than the previous one I've used. Not only does it adjust to a wider angle (see image for comparison), but it also feels a little more comfortable. There are different ways to use it depending on whether you recline partially on pressure points or fully and set your arms at different angles, either overhead or to the side. Different viewing angles mean it can be used by beginner, intermediate or advanced users. The manufacturer urges you to check with your doctor before use, whether you have had surgery, etc. But the basic idea is to lengthen the muscles so they don't compress bad joints like they do in the spine.
