We bought one of these a few years ago for a 20 inch bike and also one for a 16 inch bike and they worked fine so when I bought a side stand for a other 16 inch and 20 inch bike needed the same ones. You are too short. The bike must lean too far for the footpeg to hit the ground and cause a fall. It needs to be an inch or two longer to work. These are standard bikes in 16 inch and 20 inch.
