Rest assured it will easily hold weight even when I'm using my heaviest lens and flash on my camera which weighs around 1.5kg in total. Should be able to take more with no problems. The wrist clasp doesn't slip off, so you don't have to worry about the strap coming off your wrist if you drop the camera. The strap doesn't bother me when I hold the camera and take pictures. Pad to avoid clanking or annoying noises. The strap is thick enough to feel secure but not too thick to be obtrusive.
