I wasn't expecting much as this is one of the cheapest NVME drives out there, but I was amazed when I ran a speed test , it was much faster than the original drive on my 2017 MacBook Air. . By the way, to fit this into a MacBook Air, I had to use an adapter. I personally used one of JESOT's cheapest adapters which was $6.99 at the time of purchase. I'm crossing my fingers that it's been around long enough that I've made this upgrade due to lack of space using a standard 128GB drive. Disc and adapter fit together perfectly and if you are careful and careful as you should, nothing will fall apart or break. Use the USB installer, internet recovery or target disk mode to format it to use it on an Apple PC and of course to install the system or restore a backup. Personally, I used the Catalina USB installer and started from scratch just because I wanted to reinstall the system and apps while I was at it. Replacing the hard drive and installing the operating system took about 20 minutes. I was impressed with the speed of installing the system.
