Review on Dorman 42187 Headlamp Adjusting Screws, Set of 4 Pieces by Nico Ramdeen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It worked perfectly for me!

They were correct for my application (1980's Dodge Diplomat headlight housing) and I was able to fit them without any problems (I've had 3 broken ones that had to be replaced). What I did (after removing the original broken part) was VERY CAREFULLY insert a white one into the adjustment hole until the clips on the back panel went through. Then I pushed it in about 1mm further, inserted a very small flathead screwdriver into the tabs on the back, VERY CAREFULLY pulled the tabs up making sure they were seated on the metal and that the whole piece didn't come back through the hole. , then took out the screwdriver so that the shafts were held to the body. Then I gave the whole thing a gentle test wiggle. Everything was good. I bought two packs just in case and ended up using two white mounts on two headlights and one white on one side. That was all that was broken. I didn't bother with black units. Overall not the best or most durable product but they did what they were supposed to do.
