For use with Seachem Purigen 250ml filter In my turtle tank. This charcoal is not as dusty as most I've used and just needs a little rinsing before it's ready to use. It comes in the form of sticks. but as another reviewer pointed out, it seems to work even better when it's a bit broken. I just shredded it up a bit before putting it in a nylon bag. I used this activated charcoal long before using Purigen and have been very pleased with how well it works on its own. Combined with Purigen, in separate bags and separate layers in the filter, my water is crystal clear. At this price I see no reason not to use both.
