Setting up the camera system was very easy. Setting up the mobile app is also easy. The tricky part was setting up email and remote access. I have provided some hints that I hope will help others with the installation. What I did to set up email, phone app, and dial-in: Network. I connected the DVR directly to my modem with a patch cord. Enabled DHCP on the DVR and tested the network. to create another Gmail account so I can customize email settings. Under "Email" I enabled, selected "My SMTP server", Gmail was port 465 (I had to investigate that). SSL username selected. I entered a new email address and password. accountReceiver is the person you want to receive notifications from. CloudEnabled Cloud Service Went to the App Store, scanned Android (depending on your phone) and installed the XVRView app on your phone. Open the XVRView app, add a new device and scan the barcode for remote access. app I selected Local, Menu, Plus and added your device. DVR remote access settings. Select "Network" and make note of the HTTP and Mobile ports. Advanced and port forwarding (modems vary by brand and model) Add ports for the above ports for both TCP and UDP** This is not a complete setup guide but is what I had to work through to gain access. Much luck
