Review on Enhance Your GoPro Experience with the GoPro Wi-Fi Remote (Official Accessory) by Michael Caste

Pros: Works wirelessly with a GoPro camera. Cons: Cannot be used simultaneously with some other GoPro accessories and features. I didn't understand how it worked before, but this remote uses the GoPro camera as its own router to pair with the GoPro. Therefore, you must disconnect your GoPro from your home network and connect it to a remote network instead. Unfortunately, the side effect is that you lose the ability to view the application in real time. If you placed the GoPro some distance away, you could use the remote to turn recording on and off, but you wouldn't be able to see through the app on your phone or iPad at the same time. It's a really minor nitpick, but it's a serious piece of functionality. what I didn't know about this purchase. I still recommend the remote and still enjoy using it, but I took a star off because I'm frustrated that I can't use the remote and remote view at the same time through the app. The high price knocks off another star and I think the price is probably double what it's worth given the limited functionality of the remote control. If this item cost less than $50 and could work with the GoPro app at the same time, it would be a solid 5 star item from me.
