Great lens! You get what you pay for
I had the opportunity to compare with Tamron and Sigma. It's worth the price! Just a friendly reminder, if you're using an entry-level camera like the Sony A380 or newer, this lens is overkill. a $700 lens like the Sigma or Tamron is enough. If you're using a high-end camera, especially a full-frame camera like the Sony A850 and up, this lens will give you an absolute edge over all other lenses!
