If you pay attention to the specified thickness of the display and device, you will find them excellent. Place a "too thick" surface on either side of the mount and you could break it. If your display is a little thin, add a thin layer to either the mount or the display (attach the elastic to a short length of wide elastic). A clip securely holds the iPhone 7 Plus to my MacBook Air. Great value for money - just follow their specs!
