Someone on my online support group, Reactive Dogs, asked the question "What was most important?" and the vast majority of reviews were about the Biothane leash. Seriously, a leash? I have never heard of it. So after being tied up and dragged down the hill by our retractable leash (well my 30th terrier was dragging lol) I ordered this one. YUP! It made our walks exponentially easier. The 10-foot length gives Sammy Dammit enough wiggle room to sniff around our dog-friendly community. In potentially risky situations, it's easy to quickly grab a section of leash next to my dog and wrap it around my arm without causing a leash breakout...MUCH easier and safer than trying to wrap a retractable nylon leash when the dog is pulling beautiful. This Biothane is durable, lightweight, soft and supple, never tangles or hardens and stays clean! I will invest in the shortest version for trips to the home depot and vet and the longest version for recall training.
