This makes playing a lot of fun. I have different types of magnets, each with a different visual effect. Cubic magnets glued in a 4x4 arrangement give very interesting visual effects. I see magnetic fields bending around and between each magnet in the array of magnets. I have several ceramic magnets with multiple poles on each surface. With this film I could actually see exactly where the poles were on the surface of the magnet. All of them are perfectly straight lines on the faces. I could also see that the poles of my weak multi-pole magnets were actually moving to different positions. They no longer had straight lines separating the poles. All lines were stupid. They were damaged because they were too close to the more powerful neodymium magnets. I could even see traces of a magnetic field left over from neodymium magnets on them. Very exciting. This product is particularly child-friendly. My kids loved playing with it. It's like using iron filings to scan magnetic fields, but it's not dirty at all and a lot prettier. My kids actually drew pictures on it with magnets. So funny!
