My 9 year old started riding lessons a few months ago and got these Jojis for Christmas. She is very thin (about 52 pounds) and slightly short (about 4ft 4in) for her age. I bought her a size 10, although she usually wears a size 7/8 in other pants/leggings. The length is slightly longer which is perfect as she grows into it. The waist was too big but we got used to that on her as she is so skinny so we just pinned them with a safety pin to keep them from falling off. They are so cute, especially the embroidered horses on the back.
