I have two long haired cats who shed all their fur weekly so the bag is designed to absorb pet hair, dander and the odors associated with vacuuming the kitty litter are more important to me. I'm happy to report that although pet bags have a tighter weave of fibers, I haven't experienced any loss of suction compared to standard bags, and they retain both particles and odors from my cats better than standard S bags. Although they are expensive (all S bags are more expensive than vacuum bags), they are definitely worth the investment in an apartment building.
